Welcome to

The Permaculture Way

We manage three food forests in Central Broward County.

Sierra Club Project Proposal

Thank you for visiting this page. We have spent several years building the Longwing Food Forest and we would like to, with your support, increase the public reach through:

  • defining zones within the garden.

  • labeling plants and updating our database with plant profiles including beneficial uses.

  • publishing educational materials.

  • hosting educational events.

We grow a number of edible, medicinal, and native plants and trees. Currently, our most prolific plants are listed below. These are examples of the plants we want to label and describe on the website, in order to educate the public on the benefits of these plants that thrive in our South Florida climate.
