Moringa Bread

Moringa Bread: Whole Grain Moringa Bread Recipe

Servings Prep Time

2 small loafs 15 minutes

Cook Time 45 minutes

Ingredients

4 cups spelt flour (500g) (or 2 cups spelt, 2 cups whole wheat, or 3 c spelt and 1 c banana flour)

1 cup mixed raw seeds (150g) sunflower, sesame, pumpkin, hemp, etc.

3 medium carrots finely shredded

2 cups warm water

1 packet yeast

2 tsp salt

2 cups fresh Moringa leaves finely chopped or 2 Tbsp of Moringa powder

2 eggs or ¼  c. oil (I use tallow)

1 T Honey

Servings:2 small loafs

Instructions

Soften yeast in warm water.

Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.

Mix till moist dough forms or all ingredients are moistened. If available, use hand mixer or stand mixer with dough hook.

Spread dough into prepared mini loaf pans or 2 round cake pans. Sprinkle the dough with sesame seeds (optional).

Place two small loaf pans on middle rack of cold oven. Set oven temperature to 400 °F (200 °C) Bake Moringa bread for 45-50 minutes or until you can insert and remove a toothpick without dough sticking to the toothpick. The crust of the loaves should be lightly browned. Slice thinly and serve with butter and cheese.
